This scale is capable of being calibrated in accordance with the requirements of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and meets the guidelines of accuracy class III.
As soon as you participate in the calibration-required traffic. This includes, for example,
✔ the sale of goods by weight
✔ the calculation of fees by weight
✔ the production or control of pre-packaged goods
✔ the weighing of vehicles
✔ the determination of body weight for medical purposes
✔ the production or dosing of medicines.

A calibratable scale loses its calibrability as soon as it has not been calibrated by the manufacturer before shipping. For this reason, it is important to research before purchase whether the scale needs to be calibrated.

With the entry into force of the new Measurement and Calibration Law on 01.01.2015, the user is obligated under § 32 MessEG to report new and/or renewed measuring instruments within 6 weeks of commissioning. The report must be made to the relevant calibration authority and must include

Calibrated scales are measuring instruments that are capable of being calibrated and have been calibrated. The calibration is carried out directly at the factory by the initial manufacturer calibration. A recalibration by one of the German calibration offices is therefore unproblematic, as all legal requirements are met.
