The new postal law - what will change from 2025?
From 1 January 2025 the new Postal Law will come into force, which introduces a labelling requirement for heavy parcels. All parcels weighing between 10 kg and 20 kg and over 20 kg must have a clearly visible indication of the increased weight. This regulation applies equally to private and business customers, regardless of whether the packages are handed over to post offices, packing stations or delivery staff.
Business customers must adapt their shipping systems accordingly to meet the requirements. For private customers, DHL takes care of the labeling directly.
