They are predominantly certified according to OIML accuracy class C3 - ensuring even higher measurement accuracy.

Our load cells are based on the strain gauge measuring principle with a circuit as full bridges to meet the high demands of certified scales. By default, all load cells are available in 4-wire technology. However, a connection in 6-wire technology is also possible upon request and is recommended depending on the intended use. Functioning of a Load Cell

Load cells operate on a relatively simple principle. Each load cell has an element that deforms under pressure (the so-called spring body). This deformation (change in resistance) is translated into mV/V by means of a strain gauge (SG).

SGs are electrical conductors attached to the strain body. When the body deforms, this can be measured via the change in resistance of the SG and transferred to newtons, grams, or other units. Thus, a physical force is translated into an electronic signal - the digital output is provided at the scale display.
