Various construction variants and options are available. For accurate weighing, all four feet of the scales must be on the ground.

Functions

HIGH-OK-LOW function - weight limit value control by entering a minimum and maximum weight.
Animal weighing function - a special software program is provided that calculates a stable average weight, even when the animal is moving around (restless animals), enabling the determination of the exact weight.
Zero - tare functions - manual tare, auto tare, gross / net totalling of weights - up to 9,999 weighing operations.

Optional data storage

You can store all weights recorded on the device along with details of the time and date. The values can then be transferred to a USB stick and evaluated on a PC with MS Excel. You can thus also track how many animals were weighed within a specific time period. This is an excellent control tool and provides you with a clear overview.

Why weigh animals

Regular weighing increases economic success in livestock breeding

Through the permanent monitoring of weight e.g. in cattle breeding, many conclusions can be drawn about the state of the animals. This begins with the birth weight, which should be as low as possible, in order to reduce veterinarian costs due to ease of calving. After the birth, ongoing weighing operations test the growth rate, or in the case of daily weight gain being too low, point to diseases, long before they can be recognized externally. The milk output of the mother can also be relatively easily determined by establishing the 210-day weight. If the calf is then grown to a yearling, the weight is again an important indicator of the usage value. In summary, it can be said that regular weighing is an indispensable aid in the marketing of animals for slaughter, and the selection of their offspring. This applies, of course, not only to cattle but also to the corresponding age for sheep, goats, pigs and many other animal species.

Weighing live animals - the particular challenges
The electronic systems in our animal scales determine the weight of live animals quickly, precisely and reproducibly. We were able to dispense with the "stable weight" indicator for our scales. They show the weight of calm animals after just 1.5 seconds, and for the more lively, after 3 seconds. The sophisticated weighing electronics calculate the exact weight from extensive measurement values. Upon leaving, the scales automatically zero the weight of faeces and debris.
