Digital junction box DBU
with USB connection

The digital junction and distribution box DBU is a combined cable box and analogue-digital converter. The integrated, high-precision, digital measuring amplifier with 24-bit A/D converter transforms the output signals of the connected load cells into a stable weighing value. In the cable box JBD 04 up to 4 analog load cells can be connected in parallel with four-or six-wire technology. The weighing electronics supply the load cells and convert, amplify and filter their analogue signal in order to digitise it. With DBU, all 4 load cells are brought together on one channel; another load cell can be evaluated on the 5th terminal strip in the second channel.

A software is required to visualise the weight data.

Power supply and interfaces

Communication with downstream electronics occurs via a USB interface. This means that the DBU can be easily connected to a computer.

Construction

The aluminium case is splashproof and dustproof according to protection class IP66. The cables are lead in via metric cable glands. Screw terminals are fitted in the housing.
