Perfection in scales design and construction – with matching load cells
Our scales are designed around the load cell, as it determines the scales' properties. First, we choose the most suitable load cell or mechanical scales mechanism for your task. Then, we define the appropriate weighing range, whereby higher nominal loads always result in a poorer resolution. If your system requires more than on load cell, these cells must be linked through a junction box and connected to a weighing terminal. If you choose to install the weighing device yourself, make sure that the loads cells are placed on rubber buffers to protect them against mechanical impact and vibration.
BOSCHE weighing kits are perfect for your own scales construction, as they are factory-calibrated and made from components that are matched to each other. These kits come complete with load cells, load feet, junction boxes and data cables as well as a range of other basic weighing components. Single-point, shear beam or compression load cells are the best options for platform scales, as they allow for flat designs and quick weighing. These load calls can be easily connected with each other to form large-scale weighing systems. For small scales, we recommend single-point load cells.
For the weighing of large boxes for logistics tasks, BOSCHE offers top-quality weigh beams that can be installed in minutes. These beams featuring two load cells also provide an excellent basis for custom-engineered scales. To determine tensile loads, the most suitable load cell is the S-type load cell, which is normally pre-fitted with a hook to attach the load.
