Numerous possible uses for Remote Displays
In combination with a corresponding weighing system, Remote Displays are very helpful tools for special applications indoors and outdoors. For example, they are often used for heavy-duty scales to ensure readability from a safe distance. Large displays are also indispensable helpers for the display of measurement results with vehicle scales. Operators of biogas plants often install one of the large displays at a comfortable viewing height in order to weigh the right quantities of components for operation.
The displays are also always in demand when it comes to the clear representation of weight data in industrial weighing and weighing technology. But there are many more uses. In dosing and filling technology, livestock weighing or even on rail scales, they can be used as a second display making the measuring process considerably more effective.
Installation and assembly
The useful displays can be installed quick and easy on any wall at view height. To ensure an optimal placement on the surface some variants offer an adjustable suspension. Model-dependent, optional accessories enable individual adaptation to the location. For example a weather hood as an protective roof against sun and rain.
Connections and technology
Depending on the model, the large displays can be controlled via a variety of interfaces and bus systems: Ethernet, WLAN, RS232 or even RS485 interface. A remote display with integrated traffic light (red/green) allows deviations of the measured values to be quickly detected, thus saving time and money. The communication protocol is optionally adaptable. This makes the displays also suitable for controlling the products of leading manufacturers of weighing electronics, load cells and weighing indicators.
Due to the use of aluminium the construction is extremely robust and easy to handle. The user can choose between simple indoor or weatherproof and dustproof versions (protection class IP65 or IP54) with waterproof connectors. This means that the digital displays can be cleaned easily even when used at "dirty" workplaces.
By selecting the right model with the right connections and, if necessary, additional equipment, the user can configure his remote display to suit any individual location and purpose. Or he can simply add one as a second display to an existing weighing unit.
