The right software makes weighing easier
The functionality and handling of scales depends to a certain extent on the software used to operate them. In modern production plants, traceability is one of the main quality assurance requirements. In order to track weighing results, they need to be stored. This can be achieved by controlling the weighing equipment through a PC. Using weighing software that is optimised for the respective scales, it is possible to control one or more units and to store and analyse all measured weights.
Intuitive software makes work easy
Weighing software should be designed in such a way that the program can be used even by people with limited IT skills. The Weight Checker software from BOSCHE ticks all the boxes as regards user-friendliness. Its menus are self-explanatory and therefore easy to understand by all workers. The software is compatible with many scales and display units from BOSCHE. The Weight Checker software should preferably be run on a PC with touch screen. The colour bars indicate whether the actual weight is above or below the nominal weight, so that users can see at a glance whether the results are within the specified tolerance range.
Saving and evaluating weighing results
The software does not only indicate the measured values on the screen, but also saves and evaluates the data. For this purpose, all measurements are stored in a database-compatible format for subsequent statistical analyses in popular programs such as Excel. If required, additional parameters such as the date and time of the weighing process are added and saved. Operators thus obtain reliable data for process monitoring and control, as deviations can be quickly identified and eliminated by adjusting the production process. The data can also be printed, for instance to label the goods.
Various network options and the alibi memory enable operators to meet the documentation requirements of directives and standards. The software also supports barcode scanners and printers, turning your scales into a point of identification for data traceability.
