The Pallet Scale for Mobile or Stationary Use

Thanks to two castors and a handle, the pallet scale — which belongs to the floor scale category — can be set up easily and flexibly at different locations. With its low dead weight of just 40 kg, even lighter-built individuals will have no trouble transporting it.

Choosing a Pallet Scale

Before purchasing, you should check which model is right for your needs. To do this, it is necessary to determine the maximum load — also referred to as the weighing range — of the products to be weighed, so that the maximum capacity of the pallet scale is not exceeded later and weighing results are not compromised. Standard models are available from 600 to 3,000 kg. You should also check whether your scale needs to be legally verified. If so, make sure to purchase a legally-for-trade floor scale. Pallet scales must be verified as soon as you buy or sell goods by weight. The indicator device should also be selected to match your intended application.

What Is a Pallet Scale?

A pallet scale is a U-shaped floor scale designed for the direct weighing of pallets. It simplifies fast weighing by allowing a pallet truck to drive directly into the frame.

What Is a Pallet Scale Used For?

Pallet scales are primarily used for goods receipt inspection directly at the loading dock. Thanks to the U-frame's perfect fit for Euro pallets, you can determine unknown quantities, verify known quantities, and carry out order picking. To count goods, you need the ASP MC model. To weigh pallets, simply drive into the U-frame with a pallet truck, lower the pallet, read the weighing result — done.

On request, we are also happy to manufacture the U-frame from this range in custom sizes, so that chemical pallets, wire mesh containers, brick pallets, or other goods can be weighed quickly and easily at various locations.

Construction

As an option, a collision guard can be ordered as an addition to the standard construction, which prevents the scale from being damaged or displaced.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions About BOSCHE Pallet Scales

A pallet scale has a U-shaped frame that a pallet truck can drive directly into — ideal for quickly weighing complete Euro pallets. A classic floor scale is a flat platform onto which goods are placed. BOSCHE offers both variants, including legally-for-trade versions.

Legal verification is required by law when weight is used for price determination in commercial transactions, for official purposes, or in the production of prepacked goods. BOSCHE supplies pallet scales with or without verification — the verification service is carried out directly at our factory in Damme.

The capacity should match the maximum load including a safety margin of approx. 20%. A Euro pallet with a standard load typically weighs between 500 and 1,000 kg — a pallet scale rated up to 1,500 kg is usually sufficient in this case. For heavy industrial loads, we recommend models up to 3,000 kg.
