In meat production and veterinary practices, large and small animals need to be weighed regularly. This should be as stress-free as possible for all involved – humans and animals. Safety first – livestock scales with special protective features
For safety reasons, our scales for large animals and other livestock come with a strong cage that prevents animals from breaking free. The low entrance threshold minimises the risk of injury, and the built-in load cells and external cables are protected against dirt and rodents. We offer various models designed for single animal or group weighing.
If animal scales are used to select livestock for slaughter, they can be equipped with a traffic light system to make it easier to sort the animals by weight classes. If the animal has reached the programmed weight, the green lamp is lit. These special weighing systems are made in high-grade stainless steel or aluminium and can thus be easily cleaned for optimum hygiene.
High-grade scales for the agricultural sector
Today, many agricultural products such as milk or cereals as well as fertilisers are stored in silos. To keep track of the content of a silo, weighing is generally the preferred option. That is why BOSCHE offers hopper scales specially designed for this task. They can be installed in any new or existing silo. The various kits on offer from BOSCHE consist of three or four load cells, depending on the number of silo feet, and feature a digital display. The load cells are placed under the feet of the silo and connected with each other through a junction box, so that weight of the silo content can be called up at any time on the display.
