Record-Breaking! The World’s Largest Incense Smoker Weighed with a Crane Scale by BOSCHE
JoBa Events & Catering, together with toolmaker Jörn Schröder from Damme, brought to life the construction of the world’s largest incense smoker as a large-scale project lasting several months. The dimensions are impressive: 12 tons of multi-layer glued laminated pine wood were used to cut and mill the individual wooden components. A massive steel frame was built in parallel for structural stability. The smoker’s hat brim measures 2.76 meters in diameter, the total height is 8.50 meters, and the shoes amount to an impressive size 139.
Weighing Technology from Damme in Use Around the World

But scales – or more specifically, their key components, the load cells – are used far more widely than expected. BOSCHE Weighing Technology GmbH & Co. KG from Damme specializes in these versatile applications.
