Construction
Easy transport
For transport, a castor integrated in the door can be folded out and the scale can be conveniently transported vertically. Now even angled compartment aisles can be reached without any effort. The display terminal can be folded in, creating additional space and protecting the unit. Even a 180° turn in a narrow drive aisle is now possible without any problems. The extra large transport wheels with 125 mm diameter (swivel castor 100 mm) are particularly advantageous on uneven ground and slatted floors. If the cattle scale is not used, it can be stored upright to save space.
Low step height and slatted floor
Any difference in height is reluctantly overcome by the pig. This applies to both entering and leaving the scale. The particularly low tread height of 35 mm helps the animal and saves time when weighing. A high-quality anti-slip coating from 3M ensures safe standing. The standard slatted floor ensures that the single animal scale is not excessively dirty and facilitates cleaning.
Frame and load cells completely in stainless steel
The complete frame as well as the load cells are made of stainless steel. This material has proven its worth in the barn for decades. It is easy to clean and retains its shape and structure unchanged for years. The load cells are not cast but sealed in a special laser welding process.

The indicator was specially developed for the ETW-VA animal scale and has an aluminum housing. The 30mm digits are backlit and can be read well and clearly from any angle. The compact design and the folding mechanism make it easy to work with and transport the scale.
Sorting light for easy control of the slaughter weight.
To simplify weighing, the BOSCHE pig scale is equipped with a sorting light as standard. Here the slaughter weight can be set directly and 12 status LED lights visually signal the weight of the animals. Green for the appropriate target weight, yellow for animals that are too light and red for pigs that have already exceeded the weight. Colors are easier to compare than numbers, as constant reading of the weight is not necessary. This facilitates the work and gives additional security.
Simple operation
The rear "exit door" can be operated remotely by a lever mechanism (remote unlocking), which is why only one person is required to weigh the pigs. The display unit has been specially designed for weighing animals. The display and keypad have been reduced to a minimum and have no confusing additional functions. Switch on, weigh, save - done. Data transfer to the USB stick at any time.
Boxes and pen holders as standard
Here we have found a particularly space-saving solution. The holder is made of high-strength plastic and provides space for two pens and two cans each. The slanted arrangement facilitates removal and prevents falling out when the cattle scale is transported vertically.
Frame lowered to the rear
The special geometry of the frame ensures that the animals like to enter the scales. The lowered front part makes the animal scales appear low and the free view through the latticed side parts takes away the animal's feeling of being cramped. In the rear part, the scale is sufficiently high and prevents animals from jumping over. In addition, the free space thus created provides room for the remote control, can holder and display unit. Single animal scales are transported more than they are weighed. Compact design and maneuverability are therefore important and facilitate the work.
Quiet operation thanks to permanently installed components
To reduce the pigs' fear of stepping onto the individual animal scales, all individual parts have been permanently installed. This reduces the noise generated by the tread extremely and also makes it easier for frightened animals to walk onto the non-slip slatted floors.
