Barrel Scale FMW

Barrel scales are used to determine residual quantities in barrels or the total quantity in paint barrels during the outgoing inspection of a production.

The integrated drive-on ramp facilitates the placement of the barrels, whereby the raised bars prevent the barrel from falling sideways. Thanks to the lightweight design and a carrying handle, the barrel scale is also suitable for mobile use. With the BOSCHE FMW, drums with a diameter of up to 600 mm can be weighed. For weighing larger drums, we recommend the use of drive-through scales.

The combination of the weighing platform with the high-quality multifunctional display MWI has proven to be the optimal solution, as it is also designed for complex weighing applications in the legal-for-trade range. For example, a tare weight (known weight of the drum) can be entered via the numeric keypad so that the scale then displays the net weight. If a dosing or mixing application is intended, you should use a professional BOSCHE weighing transmitter as weighing electronics.

Weighing technology

The weighbridge barrels of the scale is quipped with four high-quality load cells.
The display device with a large 60 mm display MWI is resonsible for the clear weight determination and summing the weighing results. The tare is executed over the entire measuring range.

Power supply and interfaces

The barrel scale is supplied as standart for network operation (power cord included). The optional, rechargeable battery pack allows a current independent weighing.
The RS 232 serial dara interface allows a bi-directional data transfer of weight data to a PC, printer or remote display.
Transmission cables, exernal remote display or printer is available as an accessory.

Construction

The extremely flat weighing bridge of the barrel scale is made of powder-coated steel or stainless steel and is extraordinarily robust. The four laser-welded load cells are located on the sides of the weighbridge. The short and flat loading ramp is integrated into the weighing surface, this allows manual loading of the scale with less effort. The scale platform is connected to the scale display with a 5 m cable (a longer cable connection is possible for non-verifiable barrel scales).
The scale indicator can be disconnected from the platform even on verified scales. This saves costs when changing damaged cables, as recalibration is not necessary. The indicator can be mounted on a wall with a standard bracket or placed on a table. A tripod is optionally available.
