Why minimum load matters on gold scales
Legally relevant weighings are only permitted within the legal-for-trade measuring range. The FWK has a minimum load of 0.5 g – only from this net weight may results be used for buying and selling. This ensures reliable measurements and protects both buyers and sellers at the lower weight range.

For commercial trade in precious metals, an appropriate, validly verified scale is mandatory. When selecting a scale, maximum capacity, verification interval and minimum load must be observed. The FWK meets these requirements in accuracy class II.

FAQ - Häufig gestellte Fragen zu Goldwaagen
Nein. Neben der Höchstlast ist die Mindestlast entscheidend. Nur Massen zwischen Mindest- und Höchstlast liegen im zulässigen Messbereich. Unterhalb der Mindestlast dürfen Ergebnisse nicht für den Rechtsverkehr genutzt werden. Für Goldhandel und Schmuck empfiehlt sich eine Präzisionswaage der Genauigkeitsklasse II mit feinem Ziffernschritt (z. B. 0,01 g).
Die Mindestlast ist die untere Gewichtsgrenze, ab der eine Waage eichrechtlich gültige Ergebnisse liefert. Beim Umgang mit leichten Stücken wie Ringen, Ketten oder Bruchgold verhindert die Mindestlast Fehlinterpretationen im unteren Messbereich. Beispiel: Bei 0,5 g Mindestlast dürfen Ergebnisse erst ab 0,5 g rechtsverbindlich verwendet werden.
Das hängt von der Konformitätsbescheinigung (Ersteichung) ab. Ist dort ein Aufstellungsort genannt, gilt die Eichung grundsätzlich nur dort. Präzisionswaagen der Klasse II sind häufig standortgebunden. Modelle mit internem Justiergewicht können am neuen Standort neu justiert werden; maßgeblich sind die Angaben in der Bescheinigung.
Typischerweise werden die Einhaltung der Fehlergrenzen, intakte Eichsiegel und Plomben, die Gültigkeit der Eichung, die Standortgültigkeit laut Ersteichung, eine gut sichtbare Aufstellung für Käufer und Verkäufer sowie das Einhalten von Mindestlast und Messbereich kontrolliert.
