K90S Shear Beam Load Cell for Bin Lift Systems, Mobile Vehicle Scales and Eccentric Loads
The K90S is a robust shear beam load cell made of alloy steel or stainless steel for mobile scales, bin lift weighing systems and onboard vehicle weighing applications with eccentric loading. It has been specifically developed for applications where off-center loads, dynamic forces and impact loads must be measured reliably and precisely – for example in refuse collection vehicles, container scales or mobile vehicle weighing systems. This load cell is also suitable for weighing wall-mounted containers. Thanks to its special design, it is ideally suited for demanding operating conditions where durability, high accuracy and reliable weighing performance are required.
The mechanical double-link system design (parallelogram) compensates torsional forces under one-sided loading. This effectively minimizes measurement errors caused by eccentric loads – for example when weight is applied to one corner of a platform or bin lift structure. Even during long-term operation under dynamic load conditions, the K90S load cell delivers precise and reproducible measurement results. The laser-welded measuring element complies with protection class IP65.

Applications
The K90S shear beam load cell is used in weighing systems for waste containers, bin lift systems, rear-loading refuse collection vehicles and onboard vehicle weighing systems. Further typical applications include container scales, mobile weighing systems for front loader vehicles, wall-mounted container weighing systems, as well as overload protection systems for lifting platforms and goods lifts.
Due to its corner load compensation and high dynamic load capacity, the K90S is suitable for applications exposed to eccentric loads, fatigue stress and impact loads, such as mobile waste collection and vehicle-mounted weighing systems.
