WSE bench scale – legal-for-trade bench scale for verified applications

The WSE bench scale is a legal-for-trade model designed for fast weight determination in verified (legal-for-trade) applications. The scale is versatile and easy to operate – even inexperienced personnel immediately understand how the WSE works. The optionally available rechargeable battery provides flexible mobility and makes the bench scale an indispensable daily helper.

Weighing with tolerance range – checkweigher / portioning scale

When weighing with a tolerance range, an upper and a lower limit value can be set so that the weighed product lies exactly within the defined tolerance limits. The device indicates that the tolerance range has been exceeded or not reached by arrow symbols on the display and an audible acoustic signal.

Dual-range scale

On dual-range scales, the overall weighing capacity [Max] is divided into 2 partial ranges and starts with a smaller range with finer readability [d]. If the first weighing range is exceeded, the scale automatically switches to a larger range with coarser readability.

Functions

The bench scale features a limit value function with two freely selectable weight, percentage and piece count values. Weight values can be added in a memory.

Weighing technology & legal-for-trade capability

Precise and stable weighing results are ensured by the high internal resolution and direct force transmission to a strain gauge load cell. The load cell is certified to OIML R-76 / EN 45501. WSE bench scales are legal-for-trade in accordance with the requirements of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and comply with accuracy class III guidelines. For legal-for-trade applications, please order verification directly with the scale. Subsequent verification is not possible!
The WSE bench scale is a dual-range scale. On a dual-range scale, the scale automatically changes from the smaller to the next larger range under load. When returning to zero, there is no automatic switching back to the smaller verification interval.

Display and keypad

A bright, energy-saving 6-digit LCD display with 14 mm digit height ensures good readability of weighing data. The adjustable backlight guarantees optimal visibility even under poor lighting conditions. Intuitive operation is ensured via the comfortable membrane keypad with 7 keys, making it easy to use even for untrained personnel. The keys provide tactile feedback for secure operation.

Power supply

As standard, the bench scale is powered by a plug-in power supply. Optionally, an integrated rechargeable battery is available, allowing mobile use of up to 35 hours. Charging time is 12 hours. The adjustable automatic switch-off saves energy and protects the battery.

Design

The removable stainless steel platform (225 x 300 mm) and the robust plastic housing with waterproof membrane keypad provide a high level of protection in industrial environments. A replaceable protective cover against dust or other residues protects the display and keys from damage. Thanks to four height-adjustable feet and the integrated leveling bubble, the bench scale can be easily set up at different locations.

Data transfer via RS-232 – PC and printer connection

The WSE bench scale features a serial RS-232 interface for data transfer to a PC or printer. A special RS-232 null modem interface cable is required for connection. For reliable and interference-free data transmission, the BOSCHE interface cable is recommended (optionally available).

Optionally, the WSE bench scale can be combined with the DP dot matrix printer to print weighing results and weight data directly. Alternatively, weighing data can be recorded and evaluated via the PC. In combination with the optional MiniScale Monitor software kit, measurement data can be conveniently visualized, documented and further processed.
