Carry-On Luggage: What Size and Weight Are Allowed?
In collaboration with Vangenhassend GmbH, the carry-on luggage scale was specifically developed for accelerated boarding at airports. Avoid delays due to unsuitable carry-on luggage, clogged compartments, or stressed staff, and save time and energy.
Since the allowable dimensions and maximum weight of carry-on luggage vary from airline to airline, this scale provides reliable on-site information about the size and weight of your luggage. In case the permitted values are exceeded, you can check in at the counter in time, thus eliminating time-consuming luggage checks. A specially developed, energy-efficient software also enables operation for an entire year. Even with up to 200 weighings per day, no battery replacement is necessary during this period. The integrated transport wheels and the low own weight of only 35 kg also guarantee flexible use. Additionally, the volume of the luggage basket—which exactly corresponds to the maximum permitted luggage dimensions—can be individually adjusted.
The Baggage Sizer is custom produced for both airlines and airports.

Construction of the Scale for Airports
At the heart of the scale is an electronic measuring device with an accuracy of ± 100 grams integrated. Thanks to the automatic zeroing, it adapts flexibly to changing operating conditions. The power supply is completely battery-operated – 8 standard AA batteries are safely housed in a lockable compartment, enabling independent operation without an external power source.
The luggage scale impresses with its robust and functionally designed construction. The housing is manufactured according to building material class B1 (optionally A) and features a matte powder-coated finish (DB 703) that offers optimal protection in daily use. The color scheme can be individually customized in any RAL color.
Compact dimensions of approx. 1,450 mm in height, 440 mm in width, and 470 mm in depth, combined with the low own weight of only 35.5 kg and four wheels, ensure mobile and flexible use.
