How large and heavy can carry-on luggage be?
The maximum allowable dimensions as well as the maximum permitted weight vary from airline to airline. With the carry-on luggage scale, developed in collaboration with Vangenhassend GmbH for accelerated boarding at the airport, travelers can be prepared. The cabin baggage scale provides reliable information about the weight and size of the luggage and allows for timely check-in at the counter in case of an excess. Lengthy luggage checks in the handling area are eliminated. The loss of valuable time due to non-stackable carry-on luggage, clogged baggage compartments, irritated passengers, and stressed flight crew is significantly reduced.
Energy-efficiently programmed software enables operation for an entire year without battery replacement (with up to 200 weighings per day). Transport wheels and the low own weight of only 35 kg provide high mobility and thus very flexible use. The volume of the luggage basket corresponds to the maximum permitted luggage size. The dimensions of the basket can be individually adjusted.
The Baggage Sizer can be custom produced for both airlines and airports.

Construction of the Scale for Airlines
The luggage scale features a robust and functionally designed construction. The housing is manufactured according to building material class B1 (optionally A) and is finished with a DB 703 matte powder-coated surface, which provides reliable protection during operation. The color scheme can be individually customized in any RAL color.
Centrally integrated is the electronic scale that achieves a weighing accuracy of ± 100 grams. Thanks to automatic zeroing, it adapts to changing operating conditions. The power supply is completely battery operated: eight standard AA batteries are housed in a lockable compartment, enabling operation without an external power source.
Another technical feature is the low own weight of 35.5 kg combined with four wheels, which facilitates flexible and mobile use. Its size is also designed for functionality with compact dimensions of approximately 1,450 mm in height, 440 mm in width, and 600 mm in depth.
