Platform Scale SP-S – Compact Checkweigher for Precise Weighing
The platform scale SP-S combines the compact weighing platform SP with a powerful scale display for professional checkweighing. Depending on requirements, the platform scale is available with the GTS display for non-trade-approved applications or with the MSI display for legally-for-trade weighing applications.
With its stainless steel platform measuring 250 x 250 mm, the SP-S is ideal for precise weighing in the lower weighing range. Its rugged construction, reliable strain gauge technology, and convenient operation via a separate control display make this platform scale a practical solution for industry, laboratory, quality control, shipping, production, and order picking.

Display Variants GTS and MSI
The platform scale SP-S is available with either the GTS display for non-trade-approved applications or the MSI display for legally-for-trade weighing applications. Both display variants are specifically designed for convenient checkweighing within tolerance ranges and assist the operator in quickly capturing, evaluating, and documenting weight values.
The checkweighing display with 3 LCD screens allows the operator to view all key data at a glance: the set limit values, the current weight, and the checkweighing status. The clearly legible display shows whether the weight is below, within, or above the defined tolerance range.
An integrated traffic light indicator additionally supports visual positioning, dosing, and sorting: Red signals overweight, Green indicates an acceptable weight within the tolerance range, and Yellow marks underweight. This allows target weights to be checked particularly quickly and reliably.
Checkweighing with HI/LO/GO Display
The SP-S checkweigher is particularly suited for applications where a target weight must be reached or a weight must be maintained within defined limits. An upper and lower limit value can be set via the checkweighing function. The scale display then assists the operator with a clear evaluation of the measurement result.

An audible signal can additionally support the operator when target values are reached or exceeded. This makes the platform scale particularly suitable for repetitive checkweighing tasks where a fast, unambiguous evaluation of the weight reading is required.

Net Total
This function allows multiple components of a recipe to be weighed on the scale one after another. After each component is weighed, it is transferred to a net total memory.
Mounting Options for the Scale Display
Various mounting options are available for ergonomic positioning of the scale display. The display can be mounted via VESA 75 and is supplied as standard with a desk/wall bracket; a stand is optionally available.
Legal-for-Trade Approval with MSI Display
The version with the MSI display is suitable for legally-for-trade applications. The scale display is approved for trade use to OIML accuracy class III and IIII. The weighing function is approved in accordance with OIML R76 with up to 10,000 divisions.
The following applies: verification scale interval e = Max / n. The maximum number of verification intervals is n = 10,000 for single-range applications and 3 x 3000e for multi-range applications, depending on ambient conditions and the configuration of the weighing modules.
The integrated alibi memory for up to 18,000 weighings enables the verified transfer of weight values with date and time to a printer or PC. This makes the platform scale SP-S with MSI display particularly suitable for documentation-required and legally-for-trade checkweighing processes.
Power Supply, Interfaces, and Options
The platform scale is supplied for mains operation. Depending on the display variant and configuration, additional interfaces and options may be available. This allows the SP-S to be easily integrated into existing workflows, for example for data transfer to a PC, printer, secondary display, software, or other peripheral devices.

Construction and Installation
The weighing platform SP features a robust stainless steel platform with a stable base frame in powder-coated steel. The load is reliably transferred to the high-quality strain gauge load cell. Height-adjustable feet and an integrated spirit level support precise alignment of the scale at the point of use.
The 2 m connecting cable allows the scale display to be flexibly positioned alongside the platform. This keeps the display easily accessible and readable even when the weighing platform is used in workstations, inspection bays, packaging areas, or checkweighing stations.
