Platform Scale SP-W – Compact Stainless Steel Scale for Precise Weighing
The platform scale SP-W combines a compact weighing platform SP with a matching indicator for professional weighing applications. Depending on requirements, the platform scale is available with the indicator GTW for non-trade-approved applications or with the indicator MWI for legally for trade weighing applications.
With its stainless steel platform measuring 250 x 250 mm, the SP-W is ideally suited for precise weighing in the lower capacity range. The robust construction, reliable strain gauge weighing technology, and convenient operation via a separate indicator make this platform scale a practical solution for industry, laboratory, quality control, shipping, and production.

Display Variants and Trade Approval
The platform scale SP-W is available with either the indicator GTW for non-trade-approved applications or the indicator MWI for legally for trade applications. Both display variants offer convenient scale operation and a clearly legible weight readout for everyday use in industry, laboratory, shipping, and quality control.
The MWI indicator is a powerful multifunctional weighing terminal, approved for trade use in accuracy classes III and IIII. The large, backlit 60 mm LCD display with 50 mm digit height ensures excellent readability. The tactile keypad with numeric keyboard allows quick and easy operation of core functions such as tare, zero, and gross/net.

The version with MWI indicator is approved for trade use in OIML verification classes III and IIII. The weighing function is approved in accordance with OIML R76 for up to 10,000 divisions. The following applies: verification scale interval e = Max / n. The maximum number of verification intervals is n = 10,000 for single-range applications and 3 x 3000e for multi-range applications, depending on ambient conditions and the configuration of the weighing modules.
The MWI weighing terminal operates with a powerful 24-bit A/D converter with 4 channels and up to 200 conversions per second. The integrated alibi memory for up to 18,000 weighings enables verified transmission of weight values with date and time to a printer or PC. This makes the SP-W with MWI indicator particularly suitable for documentation-required and legally for trade weighing processes.
Power Supply, Interfaces, and Options
The platform scale is supplied for mains operation. Depending on the display variant and configuration, additional interfaces and options may be available. This allows the SP-W to be integrated into existing workflows, for example for data transfer to a PC, printer, or other peripheral devices.

Construction and Installation
The weighing platform SP features a robust stainless steel platform with a stable powder-coated steel base frame. The load is reliably transferred to the high-quality strain gauge load cell. Height-adjustable feet and an integrated spirit level support precise alignment of the scale at the point of use.
Thanks to the 2 m connecting cable, the indicator can be positioned flexibly alongside the platform. This ensures the display remains easily accessible and readable even when the weighing platform is integrated into workbenches, inspection stations, or packaging areas.
